"Woke" is not evolving...it's pandering
For generations, when you heard the word "woke", what you heard next was the obvious... ...I woke up. That's pure common sense. It's the only logical way to use that word. Then again, this world has become far from logical. In the past 3-4 years, the word "woke" has a disgusting and hateful connotation...one meant to bring people to their knees if they don't bow to the mob. The "new" definition of "woke" is this. Cue the roll eyes. "Alert to injustice in society, ESPECIALLY racism". The problem with that definition is that true injustice was clobbered out of existence generations ago, and to every perceived victim. The 19th amendment was passed by Congress on June 4, 1919, and ratified on August 18, 1920. This admittedly solved only half the injustice, however, as only white women were given the right to vote.
